Product Introduction

The PVC FLEXIBLE CONDUIT is a high-performance electrical protection solution, designed to shield cables from mechanical damage and environmental factors . Made of flame-retardant PVC resin with a spiral reinforced structure, it achieves UL94 V0 flame rating and insulation resistance ≥100MΩ . Widely used in building electrical, industrial automation, and telecommunications systems, it addresses the need for flexible, durable cable management in complex installation environments.

Product Advantages

  1. Cables shall not lay on roofs or floors without an enclosure or conduit.
  2. All conduit and ducting exposed to sunlight shall be of a UV resistant type.
  3. Where PV d.c. cables are installed within a ceiling space, in wall cavities or under a floor, they shall…be enclosed in metal or heavy duty insulating wiring enclosure.

Flame-Retardant & Insulating

UL94 V0 certified: self-extinguishes within 10 seconds of fire source removal, no dripping, and prevents flame spread to adjacent materials.

High insulation resistance (≥100MΩ at 500V DC) and dielectric strength ≥20kV/mm, ensuring electrical safety in 450/750V systems .

Flexible & Durable

Spiral wound structure allows 360° bending with a minimum bending radius of 5× the conduit outer diameter, facilitating installation in tight spaces.

Corrosion-resistant material resists acids, alkalis, and oil, with a service life of 25 years in indoor environments and 15 years outdoors .

FAQ

What is the maximum number of bends allowed without affecting performance?

The conduit can withstand 10,000+ bending cycles (180° bend and straighten) without cracking or losing flexibility. Avoid permanent kinks, which may reduce internal diameter and hinder cable pulling.

Can it be buried underground?

Yes. For direct burial (depth ≥0.5m), use the UV-resistant underground grade (model pd565895448-U) with enhanced corrosion resistance. Pair with waterproof connectors to maintain IP67 rating and prevent water ingress.

What cable diameter fits inside the conduit?

The recommended cable diameter is ≤ 60% of the conduit’s inner diameter to allow easy pulling and heat dissipation. For example, a 20mm conduit (inner diameter 16mm) fits cables up to 9.6mm in diameter.

How to connect two lengths of conduit?

Use our PVC flexible conduit connectors (sold separately), which feature a push-to-lock design. Clean the conduit ends, insert into the connector until a "click" is heard, and secure with hose clamps for high-vibration environments.
