They work with UPVC, CPVC, and PPR pipes of the same diameter. For metal pipes, use a transition adapter (sold separately) to ensure proper sealing. Avoid mixing with PE pipes, which have different expansion coefficients.
How to ensure a leak-proof connection?
Clean the pipe end and fitting socket; 2. Wrap PTFE tape (3-5 layers) clockwise around the thread; 3. Apply PVC glue evenly on both surfaces; 4. Insert fully and hold for 30 seconds. Allow 24 hours curing time before pressure testing.
Can they be used for hot water systems?
Yes, but only for temperatures up to 60°C . For hot water above this (e.g., 80°C), choose our CPVC fittings (model pd541695448-H) with heat resistance up to 95°C. Using UPVC fittings for high-temperature water will cause deformation and leakage.
